How to write the landing page for our iPhone business?

Posted by brianzhou on March 3, 2009

Recently, ExtendLogic Marketing Team is inputting its efforts to continue the search engine marketing campaign for our IT outsourcing and consulting business; especially for iPhone development business because iPhone app development is a hotspot in U.S. and iPhone will be formally released in China market soon. Since I am in charge of marketing tasks, I’ve spent some time to analyze how to write an efficient landing page these days and I would like to share some of my thoughts with all of you.

Basically, the purpose of landing page is to convert the clicks into inquiries. All the messages on the landing page are made to convince customers that you are the right partner for them to extend their business and leave their contact information by filling in the ”contact us” form.

So, the content is the most important segment for landing page. I would like to take our iPhone landing page as an example to explain my thoughts.

I believe that the time for all business men who visit our website are very valuable and nobody want to spend too much time to read a long story. So we need to state everything in short. Simply list what we can do on iPhone, highlight what client can benefit from it (cost-effective as our delivery centers in China) without too many fancy words, show visitors what iPhone app we have done.

No need to use too many fantastic iPhone pictures, instead of that, we should use 1-2 screenshots of our previous iPhone project, which is considered as the best way to prove our iPhone capability.

Provide visitors the inquiry form on landing page so that they can get everything done one-stop. I think it is very important to protect users’ privacy, so let users know that their privacy information will never be disclosed to others and we will not be sending SPAM to them. But you can ask them whether they want to receive our newsletters about iPhone in the future.

Make the landing page be highly relevant to PPC keywords. For example, one keyword we used for iPhone PPC is “iPhone China”, then “iPhone” and “China” should be shown on our iPhone landing page and the content should be addressed about doing iPhone business in China OR with China team. That will let user has a feeling of they are at the right place for what they look for.

Express your appreciation for their visits and inquiries. Let them know when and who from your firm will get back to them.

The main point is that to make everything as simple as possible, but don’t forget to follow up!

Please refer to our iPhone landing page http://www.extendlogic.com/IndustrySolutions/iPhone and share your thoughts with me.
